The Attorney General announced the beginning of an investigation on gambling facilities.

Third Judicial District Attorney General C. Berkeley Bell Jr. announced on the beginning of an investigation on the presence of gambling facilities across the district. According to a press release, the investigation is a response to residents complaints about a presence of gambling machines in the Third Judicial District. The investigation will start in finding the location of those gambling machines and then in prosecuting the illegal gambling machine operators.

According to local police officer who asked not to be identified, many gambling machines that were active in Greeneville and Greene County businesses, had been removed during the last week. He also said that a Greene County business had been earning weekly profits of 7,000 dollars from its machines.
