Man Pleads Guilty of Plotting Bookie Murder

Gang member has pleaded guilty of plotting to kill 2 bookies and one of his own gang members.

The man, 25 years old has pleaded guilty to being part of a plot to kill two local bookies, who the gang leader had built up large gambling debts with, and he decided to kill them rather then pay them the money he owed them.

According to the deputy District Attorney, the gang decided to Kidnap and kill one of its own members of the gang after he disagreed with the plot to murder the bookies and informed the police and the two bookies of the gangs intentions to murder them.

The man could face up to 9 years in prison for his role in the plot. His sentencing will be on March 23rd.

Three other members have already pleaded guilty to the same charges.

The 3 remaining defendant are pleading not guilty, and that they knew nothing about any plot to kill anyone. Their trial will begin in February.

Their defense lawyers are claiming that their accuser is mentally unstable and should not be believed.The gang%u2019s leader is married and was once a very successful personal trainer, who allegedly decided to form a gang with friends from La Costa High School outside of San Diego
